Like an encyclopedia of the faith in 1 book. A must have!!!

The wrong book

I was sent a completely different book. I ordered this but was sent, Orchids for dummies. Probably just an accident but was disappointed.

A book to guide your life

Ok, the title isn't exciting. But this is without doubt one of the most important books a Catholic can read! It will guide you and lift you and it will bring you great clarity of thought. And it never leaves you. It is always a close and ready help when you are in need.

Catechism of the Catholic church

People offer all sorts of explanations for Catholic Curch doctrine. Most of the time they don't even know what they're talking about. If you really want to know what the Catholic Church teaches then you need to read this book. It is clear, concise, to the point and doesn't split hairs. There are no grey areas, no excuses and leaves one without a doubt in their minds. Excellent!

Great Edition

There are many versions of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and even many different editions of each of those versions, so one would beg the question why review a book so readily available and so accessible. That would be a good question to ask. There is the `original edition' the `second edition' and now there is also a `definitive edition' so why would we examine this work? The answer is that like with Shakespeare, for which there are innumerable editions each reader tends to gravitate towards a specific version or set of editions. In having spent many hours reading these documents over the last few months I can only state categorically that this is the `best packaging' of the Catechism that I have yet to investigate. The larger format makes it easier to work with than many of the smaller pocket version, the wide margins left for personal notes and thoughts is much appreciated. As well this edition is the only one I have found with a glossary and it also has a more extensive index then the other two editions I examined.

Excellent

This was (and still is!) and excellent resource tool when I took the RCIA class. I use it all the time when I have a question because it states the belief along with any coordinating resources at the bottom of the pages. I'm currently using it for my research paper!

A must-have for all who are seeking orthodoxy!

This book is essential for anyone who wants to know what the magisterial teachings are in regards to the Catholic faith. The in-depth writings will answer just about any question in regards to Catholic beliefs. Also, there are plenty of references to Biblical scriptures and papal documents by which the teachings are supported. Anyone with intentions of being a good Catholic or of researching the Catholic faith should get this book NOW!
