very excellent book & accurate

I highly recommend this book and the author! He has a true understanding of what it means to walk with the Lord daily. Even though it was published a number of years ago, it is very timely and to the point! I was unaware until recently that W. Phillip Keller has written 35 books.

A Call for Wisdom and Discernment

I found this book in the basement and started reading it. It's a good challenge to the Christian church to discern the teachings of their pastors and to discern what motivates them. It is a call for pastors to become accountable to their people and to have devotional time with God each day. Keller contends that revival and refreshment in the church begins in the pulpit, and he is right. The book also takes aim at television ministries, calling these leaders to be biblical and to be pure. The book is out of print, but used copies are available and it is a quick and worthy read. The book is also a challenge to the layperson to become so filled with God's Word and god's Spirit that they will be able to discern the difference between a Spirit filled ministry and a counterfeit ministry. Keller is a voice in the wilderness, and my prayer is that we will listen to what it says.

This out-of-print book carries great admonition for the Christian to be alertas to who you are following. This is of utmost importance. We must have the light of the Word shining unto our paths to see where we are walking--especially in these end-time days. I was so pleased to add this book to my collection of W Phillip Kellers' writings, which I plan to complete.
