Another Fun, Magical Book!

The third installment of Tracy Madison's books, A Breath of Magic, centers around Chloe Nichols, who is waiting for her own magic to kick in after seeing her cousins Liz and Alice develop their own gifts. Chloe wants nothing more than to be married and have a family with her boyfriend Kyle, so she asks Liz to bake a cake and Alice to draw a picture with their magic. Of course, nothing goes as planned as Alice draws a picture of Chloe marrying another man! Thus, Chloe must determine what she really wants in her future, and examines the consequences of using magic to fuel our heart's desires. I loved Tracy's two previous books, A Taste of Magic and A Stroke of Magic, but I have to say that this one is my favorite. Prepare to be charmed by this magical family once again! The best part: Grandma Verda is back and better than ever! I highly recommend this fun book as a perfect beach read for the upcoming summer!

engaging romantic fantasy

Chloe Nichols is tired of her boyfriend Kyle not moving their relationship to the next level especially when she has magic readily available to give her commitment phobic slacker a shove. Of course that means persuading her cousin Liz to bake a cake with a love ingredient and her other cousin Alice to add magical drawings of the future; both leading to Kyle accepting Chloe's proposal of marriage. However, sometimes you get what you wish for. Alice's drawing contains Chloe with Ben Malone. Chloe ends her relationship with Kyle and goes after Ben, who has no plans to marry anyone. At the same time, Kyle misses his cherished Chloe having taken her for granted. He pursues her with a resolve he never showed when they were together, but he must prove to his beloved that a picture may be a thousand words but lack the key three words of "I love you". The third Magic romantic fantasy (see Alice star in A Stroke of Magic and Liz in A Taste of Magic) is an engaging entry as Chloe learns a lesson about using magic when it comes to relationships of the heart. Breezy and fun, with the return of the first family of magic including witchy Grandma Verda, fans will enjoy Chloe's convoluted course as her machinations lead to an entangled triangular web of her making; because she loves Kyle, but Alice's pictures proclaim her wed to Ben who insists he will never marry. Tracy Madison provides an amusing lighthearted frolic. Harriet Klausner

A Breath of Magic

Chloe wants to find her true love and she wants to find him now. She's become a bit obsessed about it. With a boyfriend that doesn't believe in true love or soul mates it has been kinda hard. She is through with waiting and isn't above using magic to get want she wants. With a little help from her new family she hopes her dreams will become reality. This book is the third installment in the Magic series. With each book it's always a new magic or talent and with each book the stories get better and better. I've always considered the first book, A Taste of Magic to be my favorite. But really each book has something special that I've really liked. A Breath of Magic is a fantastically fun read, full of twists that will delight the reader. The gypsy magic is charming as ever. The story is emotional fueled, that you might want to have some tissue close at hand when you read it. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like Chloe, but she did grow on me. There were times when you just want to shake her, but she turned out to be a very lovable character. While every girl's journey in this series, has been difficult in it's own way. I think Chloe's has been hardest. But when all is said and done the emotional roller coaster both she and her true love went through is very much worth it in the end. This is one I would definitely recommend, especially for the true romantics out there.

The Third in the Series is Magical!

I've had A Breath of Magic, the third in Tracy Madison's series about magic and gypsies, on preorder forever. I so love this series! This book is a lot more then I thought it would be. It carries on from the 2nd book in the series but there are a lot of surprises that I did not see coming. Chloe Nichols is waiting for her magic to start working. While she waits she decides it's time to get married and start a family but the only man in her life (Kyle from book 2) is allergic to committment. Chloe asks her cousin Liz to bake a magic cake so Kyle will say yes when she asks him to marry her. But Chloe is surprised when her other cousin Alice says that Kyle is not going to be her groom. Alice knows this for sure because she magically drew a picture of Chloe's wedding and Kyle is not in it. The man in the drawing is someone else. Chloe meets this other man (Ben) and there are a lot of sparks between them. Then her magic finally starts and this was a huge surprise but it also leads to a spoiler so I don't want to ruin it. Verda is back and funnier then ever and we get to meet Alice's baby and learn she has powers already. I love this family that Ms. Madison has created. They seem like people I know.

A Breath of Magic

In this, the third book of the series by Tracy Madison, we dig deeper into the life of a good friend, Chloe. As the book opens she still somewhat lost waiting for her magic to take hold and yearning for a sense of family that's eluded her. Madison takes us on Chloe's journey which is fraught with twists, turns, roadblocks, and heart-stopping revelations. To say too much about the plot would spoil the magical ride. The best of the series so far, I recommend to anyone whose already read Taste of Magic and Stroke of Magic as well as new soon-to-be Tracy Madison fans.
