Uplifting and Inspirational

The first time I read this book I enjoyed it so much that I read it too fast. Later I was at a party and listened to a gentleman share several very intersting aspects of the book. I couldn't remember those parts and realized then I had read the book too fast. For me reading it the second time was just as enjoyable as the first time. This is very good book with a strong message of hope.

A Touching, Beautiful Book

I am not the fastest of readers, but I finished this book in a matter of days. Nick writes in a very comfortable & relaxed manner, and I felt almost as if we were having a friendly conversation. I will admit that I know Nick & Lucy personally. They have been good friends for five years. But I truly feel this is a honest history of their wonderful journey across this country. Yes, it is a story of a devout Christian doing what God has called him to do; but it is also a wonderful collection of stories about some of the beautiful people who live in the USA. My only complaint about the book is that it was too short. I finished it and wanted to read more.

Fun read; inspiring

WARNING: THE MATERIAL CONTAINED IN THIS BOOK MAY CAUSE THE READER TO SELL ALL HIS POSSESSIONS, GIVE TO THE POOR, AND FOLLOW A HOLY MAN ACROSS A CONTINENT.In the interest of full disclosure, I am a former co-worker of the author of 3,300 Miles For Christ, and I bought the book to see if I was in it (incidentally, yes, and Della Valle was nicer to me than he needed to be). That said, I intend to ask Nick Della Valle if he used a ghostwriter. Few people are good at telling stories, fewer are good at writing them, and fewer still can do both well. Nick is among the `fewer still.' These true adventures of a performance artist and his wife are very riveting. If walking across the United States wasn't unique enough, the Della Valles do it in the most unconventional manner, and in the face of daunting odds. But it's not art for arts sake; Nick's mission is a performance with a purpose. The reader will be continually anxious to see what happens next.Nick skillfully weaves together many stories: a devotional, a collection of (very funny) humor, a story of strength through weakness, a love story, an adventure story, and a slice of biography of Middle America. If you're a determined America-hater, this book will disappoint you. 3,300 Miles For Christ is an affirmation to those who believe the United States is the greatest nation granted existence by The Almighty. It paints a beautiful portrait of a generous people - Americans who recognize a God who has been generous to them, and want to pay it forward. If you feel God calling you to do something big, read this book. These pages spring with confidence in a big God who does big things with little humans; by `little humans,' I mean those of us under 10' tall.--Js
