Amazing Insight

For all those folks who are tried of the garbage that relgious dogma spouts, Campolo gives a fresh look at subjects that have deep meaning for the individual and give practical application for the life of the individual and the church. It is a great look at cultural Christianity and its flaws.

A Must Read for Christians

I can't imagine any Christian reading this book and not feeling challenged. Campolo does a great job of pointing out the many things that Christians do that almost certainly embarrass God, but he doesn't stop there. Along with showing some ways Christians probably shouldn't act, he gives some very practical guidelines for how we should act. It hits a little close to home sometimes, but who said we're supposed to be comfortable all the time?

This book will give you freedom to be a real Christian!

This is one of the most straight forward, honest, real looks at the church, christianity and life I have ever read. It made me laugh, cry, and review my perspectives on life.

Finally, a man of God writing about practical things.

If you are tired of people promising to deliver you from all of your worries, then Mr. Campolo is the man for you. His work is probably the most practical and realistic of any theologian to date. He has no problem about telling it like it is and hitting the issues that scare most people (like Homosexuality, politics, etc.) It helped me to see that how I am as a christian isn't wrong, it is just who i am. And it told me how all of us as believers are different.

A must-read for today's Christians.

Dr. Campolo hits the nail squarely on some of the practical matters for today's Christians. This book is a straight - sometimes painfully straight - shooter!
