Adventures of a Psychic might not be the next Indiana Jones sequel, but the "adventures" in the title is appropriate, since Sylvia Browne never stops amazing us with her channeling, psychic visions, healing, and even ghost stories. Coauthor Antoinette May's biographical talents are first rate, however her third person point of view tends to di...

  Awesome!

This book changed my whole outlook on life. I was so impresssed with it that I lent it to my mother, who in turn, lent it to several other people. So far, all that have touched that book have become believers. I have seen Sylvia on several television shows (including several local shows) and she is truly amazing. As a young child, I had such a hard time with a belief in a vengeful and wrathful God, who would take my 10-year-old cousin from this Earth by giving her an inoperable a brain tumor, which left half of her face paralyzed. She was very young and suffered for the last three years of her short life. NOW, I know that it wasn't that conventional God that took her, but that her blueprint dictated that she would only be here a short time to learn her lesson that she had decided on from the Other Side. Everything in this book makes total and complete sense, which is something I cannot say for today's religions. Good work Sylvia!

  Human with a special gift!

I read this book and could barely put it down. If you have seen Sylvia on the Montel Williams show how could you not purchase this book? It is a biography of her and she explains so much. If you know someone who loves Sylvia as much as you and I...give them this gift. Or even give this gift to yourself.

  A very enthralling book!

I have read all of Sylvia Browne's books and feel so at peace with myself and all the questions I've always had. This book is one of my favorites. A lot of things that use to confuse me now seem so clear, and has helped to give me a stronger desire to learn more about the " Other Side ". I now know that God is what I alway's thought he was, a good, loving and understanding God, not a vengeful and angry God that people use his name to project. Sylvia says she doesn't believe something until she see's it-maybe if some skeptic's opened their eye's, they could see all the beauty and knowledge she shares with us.

  Impressive, enligtening and powerful

If you've ever wondered what it's like to be precognitive, clairvoyant, clairaudiant, or to experience other psychic abilities, Sylvia Browne's ADVENTURE OF A PSYCHIC is a must read. For those who don't believe in psychic phenomena, this book will make the reader a believer. Written in clear concise tones, with undercurrents of both religious philosophy and pragmatism, Browne's ADVENTURE OF A PSYCHIC tells not only the story of Browne's life, but also gives a basic understanding of our purpose on this planet.

The voice of Francine, Browne's spirit guide, imparts a basic understanding of the purpose of this "learner's planet" and the dimensions beyond. Despite the ability to help others with her gifts, Browne also makes it clear that her gifts don't guide her own actions; her mistakes create her life lessons just like everyone else. In addition, Browne shares her experience in helping with hauntings, missing persons cases and predictions of various tragedies or world events. Throughout the book, Browne emphasizes that all people have psychic abilities, and offers insight to opening to those innate abilities.

Having listened to the abridged, taped version of Sylvia Browne's ADVENTURE OF A PSYCHIC, I assumed I was familiar enough with her story that the book would be a quick skim. While the tape includes inflections and details that might not be in the book that really give the listener a sense of Sylvia Browne the person, the book gives a deeper understanding of her psychic experiences and the lessons she wishes to share. While the text is less personal, less a "conversation", it does contain more detail, to the point that at times the book becomes a teacher. Indeed, both the book and tape must be experienced to fully appreciate all the lessons Browne has to share, as a person and as a professional psychic. Consequently, ADVENTURES OF A PSYCHIC both the book and on tape, as separate experiences, come very highly recommended.

Bright Blessings, Weaver

  Amazing

I recently read Mr. Christie's tirade of Sylvia Browne and her work. I have read this book as well as several others that Sylvia Browne has written. I recommend them to anyone. I find her refreshing, and quite honestly very brave to open her life to us with all it's human frailities. She has been an inspiration. She has been through it all...and survived. As for Mr. Christie..I am sorry that you feel the need to attack Ms. Browne. As for her alleged error in making out the sexual identity of a person at the microphone...sorry...but I also have been at these events. The space between Sylvia and the audience combined with lighting...you figure it out. If you approach this subject with a closed mind...you will come away with your attitude. If you want the truth...and have the courage to have an idea...then you will continue to seek the truth. As for Sylvia's prediction regarding China..Wake up...they are the proud owners of a Long Beach military establishment...so she wasn't incorrect. This book is compelling, comforting and above all a reading journey worth taking to those who have endured and are surviving this adventure called life.
