How to Read Faster and Better

This book is thin compared to other books available in the market. I just took 2 hours to finish the book as the methods taught are straightforward and easy to apply. Moreever, not all the materials need to be read.

The first 2 chapters talks about some achievements of the pioneer in speed reading, etc. The first few pages of every chapter typically spell out the problems faced in reading and the gist comes in in the middle of the chapter. My advice for readers is to skip the aboves and go straight into the methods.

I first found this book in 1991 and it did nothing short of change my life. It is a great first jumping in point of your quest to speedread. It is a very easy read and you will increase your reading speed just minutes into the 3rd chapter. I now read over 200 books every year and I consider this book the foundation of that ability. You will need to "graduate" this book and move on to another book if you want to take your reading to hyper-speed levels. I highly recommend this book.

This book was published in 1981 and works to improve the readers reading speed. The book is formatted with on 8 words per line with very large margins. This method is used by many speed reading books so the reader can read passages rapidly and improve reading with only one or two fixations per line like a newspaper column.
