"Danger Money" -- timeless, brilliantly crafted!

Danger Money is one of the later novels of the much-honored mystery/romantic writer, Mignon G. Eberhart. She was born in 1899 and began her writing career in the 1930s. Her lead characters are always single women (or in a turbulent status between newly-married and widowed!). Although the books are set in upper-middle-class settings, just about anyone can identify with the characters and situations. Danger Money is no exception -- characters well developed, and, more importantly, likeable. The plots are clever and usually surprising in the final pages. Danger Money is definitely worth reading -- and even though this novel was written in the 1960s, the characters and plot are every bit as timely today as they were in the 60s! The action moves between New York City and the Manders' estate on Long Island -- and the plot development sustains the readers' interest. Ms. Eberhart is one of my favorite authors -- I've read every one of her books, and there are lots of them. If you like Danger Money, you'll love all of the others!
