  Great culture guide!!

My family went to the Czech republic in 2003 with this guide. We used it to take as many at 10 day trips around the Czech Republic. The book divides its destinations by regions. It is easy to use. It has great pictures. The guide takes you to lots of museums or places of culture. In fact, many of the places we went to had school children and their teachers. It is not a guide for great beer or food. Though it does list some restaurants.

  Excellent!

Beautiful pictures, full and concise information about history, culture and landmarks, tons of day trip options from Prague, guided walks of the Old City and the Lesser Quarter in Prague and Karlovy Vary and Olomouc in the Czech Republic, two driving tours, interesting articles... I'm surprised that National Geographic hasn't updated this guidebook like they've done with so many others.

  Good guide

It contains a lot of information, both historical and cultural,
but it's not the kind of guide that offers tones of accommodation info.
Suitable for those who'd like to get off the beaten track.
