The Indian Way: An Introduction to the Philosophies and Religions of India, published by Prentice Hall, 2005 (ISBN: 0-13-145578-8) the new second edition of John M. Koller's classic work on the religions and philosophies of India is even better than the original. Clearly written, with deep sympathetic insight, this is one of the best introductions to Indian thought, from the Vedas to the beginnings of the 21st century. For beginners and advanced students of India, for Indians as well as Westerners.
