Orson Scott Card (b. on August 24th, 1951 in Richland, Washington) is a bestselling author, critic, essayist, and public speaker. He is best known for writing the Ender's Game series, which is currently comprised of 10 books. The first two books in the Ender's Game series won both Hugo and Nebula awards, the top two science fiction awards in the U.S. Card is the first author to win both prizes in consecutive yeras. In addition to the Ender's Game series, Scott has written fiction (Lost Boys, Treasure Box, and Enchantment), a retelling of Hamlet (Hamlet's Father), and has written the dialog to several video games.
