John Lescroart

John Lescroart Profile Picture

John Lescroart is a musician, screenwriter, and the author of more than twenty legal and crime thriller novels, sixteen of which have been on the New York Times bestseller list. Born in Houston, Texas in 1948, he earned his B.A. in English with honors from the University of California, Berkeley. Lescroart became a full-time writer in 1994, but first he worked as a word processor for law firms, a bartender, a fundraising executive, a house painter, and more. He was also a singer-songwriter-guitarist performing under the name Johnny Capo, with Johnny Capo and his Real Good Band. He lives in Davis, California.
