Emily Giffin Profile Picture

A native of Chicago born in 1972, Emily Giffin graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University with a degree in English and history. She earned her degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and moved to New York City to become a litigator at a large law firm. Giffin began writing in her spare time, eventually leaving the law firm and moving to London to write full-time. She completed her manuscript, Something Borrowed, and it was published the following summer. The film of Something Borrowed debuted in 2011 and starred Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Godwin and John Krasinski. Giffin has now written seven international bestsellers. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
