Thrift Books receives hundreds of tons of books each week as well as large quantities of music, videos, and other assorted saleable items.  In addition to our core retail business, we offer bulk sales of these items. All books have been examined for merchantability and are thus in good to excellent condition.  They are excellent products for both domestic and international sale. Our extensive distribution network ensures a constant and quality supply of books and media.  As with our retail book business, we are committed to offering the best prices on the market.

    Thrift Books provides volume sales of presorted books—hardcover, paperback, and children’s books—in addition to music, videos, and other items which we receive from our suppliers. Most of these books were previously on our shelves but have been removed to make room for new inventory.   All books, unless otherwise specified, have ISBN numbers for easy cataloguing.

    We are unable to sort for specific subjects or genres.  However, we do sort the book by its binding. Buyers may choose from the following types items:

1. Mass Market books
   Second editions of mostly fiction books.  These paperback books are usually pocket sized and have thin bindings.Usually 800-1000 books per gaylord.

2. Trade & Hardback books 
   Either first edition hardcover or trade back books (any title with a thin paper binding that is larger than pocket-sized).  Consists mostly of non-fiction titles,autobiographies, with some fiction. Usually 600-800 books per gaylord.

3. Children’s books (add $25 to pricing)
    A mix of both paperback and hardback children’s books which have not been listed online. Usually 1000-1200 books per gaylord.

4. Children’s Plus books
    Mix of both paperback and hardback ISBN-only children’s books. These were previously listed online and have been removed from the shelves. Usually 1000-1200 books per gaylord.

5. VHS tapes 
    Mix of all genres of VHS tapes. Usually 600-800 tapes per gaylord.

    Books and media are stored and transported in sturdy gaylord boxes (48" x 40" x 36") that fit a standard shipping pallet.  Each Gaylord contains between 600 and 1600 books depending on the size and binding of the books.  Our distribution centers are located in four different states around the country and located close to transportation routes for easy shipping both domestically and internationally. Buyers are responsible for both arranging and paying for shipping.  We will gladly recommend shipping companies with which we have worked in the past upon request.
