Ever wonder how Clifford came to be Emily Elizabeth's special pet pal? Or what Clifford's mother was like? Well this book will tell you. It explains that Clifford came from an apartment next door to Emily Elizabeth, and it also describes Clifford's first Mother's Day adventure; an episode where he thwarts Emily's plans but everything comes out all right after a little creative thinking. Four Stars. [B-]. Good Read-aloud. This book tells two separate stories: how Clifford came to be in Emily Elizabeth's family, as well as how Clifford celebrated his first Mother's Day.
